Student looking for a studio flat to rent in London

I’m a student from Germany, and I’ll be starting my studies in London this September. I’m looking for a studio to rent with a budget of £1200 per month (or less if possible). I understand that living costs in London are high, but I’m hopeful I can find something within my means.
I have the support of my mom, who lives in London. She’s willing to step in and check out potential studios if I’m unable to visit myself. However, I’ll also be in London from the 25th until the 2nd of next month and can check out places in person during that time.
